India vs England 1st Test 2021; Rain Stopped indian campaign to win the first match against england

 The first test match between India and England has drawn due to rain. No ball could be bowled on the fifth day. India needed only 157 to win the first match with 9 wickets left.

 

England after winning the toss decided to bat first. It didn't seem right decision when English team made a total of 183 with help of captain Joe Root 64. Indian bowlers done a brilliant job. Bumrah showed his form and grab 4 wickets. Shami got 3, Shardul got 2 and Siraj got 1 wicket. Now it's time for Rohit and Rahul SHOW. They set a pretty 97 runs opening partnership. Rahul made an elegant 84 runs in a a difficult pitch and sir Jadeja also so mad is blended 56 in the lower order and reached India to 278 with a 95 runs lead. James Anderson take 4 wicket and rose up to 3rd most wicket taker in test surpassing Anil Kumble's 619 wicket. The young Robinson got an outstanding 5 wicket haul.

In the second innings the English captain shone much brighter and mad 109. With this century England manage to score 303. Once again the boom boom Bumrah showed his class and take 5 wicket. Siraj and Shardul got 2 each and Shami got 1. Sir Jadeja was wicketless in both innings.

Now India had to chase a target of 202 in the 4th innings of the match. In the last session of the day 4 India made 52 for one loss. Rahul depart after some glorious shots, both Rohit and Pujara were on unbeaten 12 when 4th day end. 157 runs  were left for India to win the game in the fifth day. But not a single ball could be bowled due to rain and the match got drawn. The English captain received man of the match.
