The 2nd test between India and England has started from 12 August at Lord's cricket ground.The home team choose to bowl first after winning the toss.There are few changes in both the sides.Ishant Sharma included in team India in place of Shardul Thakur,where as England made three changes, Stuart Broad has ruled out of the series so Mark Wood come in . Batsman Haseeb Hamid replace Zak Crawly and allrounder Moeen Ali in the playing 11 ahead of Dan Lawrance.
Winning the toss and fielding first did not seem a right choice for England. The Indian opening pair set another record breaking partnership. Mostly Rohit was more attacking in the 1st session after taking his time. Rahul was playing defensive in the other side. Rohit made his first overseas half century in test. He continues to hit some magnificent shots. After 126 runs partnership Rohit got bowled by Anderson in the 44 over.Rohit made an agressive 83.Rahul was playing patiently in the other side. Pujara disappointed again and dismissed by James Anderson with an individual score of 9. Then the Indian skipper come in to bat with a lots of expectation.Then Kohli and Rhul carried forward the innings.By this time Rahul became agressive and reach to his 50.Kohli was playing catiously and got a good start.He was expanding his innings and the new ball took the edge of the bat and went to slip hand.The indian captain dismissed with an individual score of 42.KL Rahul got a handsome Hundred and by the end of the day he is not out at 127 and vice captain Rahane in the other side .
Team India is at 273 for 3 after the end of the first day.James Anderson got the wicket of Rohit and Pujara, Robinson dismissed Kohli.India's aim to bat all the 2nd day or give them half an hour to bat England.India surely want to reach 500.Rahul is in excellent touch expected to enlarge his innings even more long, Rahane has to matching the step with Rahul or to guard a side.Pant and Jadeja have to score big runs to reach 500 or above.
