India vs New Zealand 1st test,day 1 Highlights

After white washing New Zealand in the T20 series India came to action in the longest format of cricket at Kanpur. After winning the toss Captain Ajinkya Rahane choose to bat first. The opening pair Mayank Agrawal and Subhman Gill came to bat in the absence of Rohit Sharma an Kl Rahul. Mayank Agrawal departs early after  scoring 13. Then Subhman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara developed a good partnership until Pujara got out on 26 by Tim Southee. Now Captain Ajinkya Rahane and Subhman Gill were there on the crease. Subhman Gill complete his half century just before the Lunch.

In the second session of the day started, Subhman Gill got out by Kyle Jemieson on 52. Now it was time for the debutdunt Shreyash Iyer to make the chance count. Meanwhile captain Rahane also departed adding 35 runs on his account. Shreyash Iyer and Sir Ravinder Jadeja were now leading the Indian batting line up. 

Shreyash Iyer complete his half century in the first game first innings of his test career. He played some very glorious shots. Sir Ravindra Jadeja also reached to his fifty. Bith the half centurien are now batting in the crease and non if them got out till the end of the day 1. 

At the end of the day India is on 258 for 4. Shreyash Iyer is unbeaten at 75 and Sir Ravinder Jadeja is unbeaten at 50. Big man Kyle Jemieson got 3 wickets and another one picked up by Tim Southee.
